Dear Mayor Jones:
On behalf of the Martintown Road Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American
Revolution, I am requesting that you proclaim the week of September 17-23,2013, National
Constitution Week, in recognition of the 226th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the
United States of America. It is my understanding that your office has a sample proclamation from the
National DAR website which has been used as a guide.
I would appreciate your reading the proclamation at the September 16th,2013,meeting of City Council.
Mrs. Pam Schmidt,Vice Regent and Constitution Week Chairman,will attend as a representative of
Martintown Road Chapter to receive the proclamation.
We invite you and council members to attend our September chapter meeting on Tuesday,September
17,2013,at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of Fairview Presbyterian Church.
