Administrative Reports
In response to public comments about Flock cameras, I wanted to take a moment to inform the Council
on the way the City handles cameras. Aside from cameras on City properties meant to maintain visibility
on city facilities, there are a handful of neighborhoods that have Flock license plate reader camera
systems. Hammond’s Ferry is one such neighborhood where the homeowner’s association paid for the
cameras at the entrance of their neighborhood, and also paid for the fiber connectivity. The City granted
access to the right of way for their pole mounted camera. Public Safety in agreement with the HOA has
access to the camera feed to solve criminal cases. Cameras in neighborhoods are not installed by the
City, nor are paid for with city funds.

Mr. Mayor,
Before I turn this back over to you, I wanted to say that depending on what guidance is received from
Council in the upcoming executive session, the staff may end up adding a Council action which is not on
the agenda we reviewed this evening. If, based on Council guidance, we add a resolution or ordinance
regarding Riverside Village, we will publish that item as part of the Council packet and agenda which is
available to the public on Friday afternoon.
