Toole, Councilmember ORDER OF BUSINESS STUDY SESSION The Study Session of December 9, 2024 for the City Council of the City of North Augusta, having been duly publicized, was called to order by Mayor Williams at 6:00pm and also streamed online for public viewing at the City Facebook page: “City of North Augusta – Public Information” and City YouTube page: “City of North Augusta Public Information.” Per Section 30-4-80(e) notice of the meetings was sent out by email to the current maintained “Agenda Mailout” list consisting of news media outlets and individuals or companies requesting notification. Notice of the meetings was also posted on the outside doors of the Municipal Center, the main bulletin board of the Municipal Center located on the first floor, and the City of North Augusta website. Members present were Mayor Williams, Councilmembers Buck, Carpenter, McCauley, McGhee, and Toole. Also in attendance were James S. Clifford, City Administrator; J.D. McCauley, Assistant Administrator; Kelly F. Zier, City Attorney; Thomas C. Games will begin this Friday, December 13 TOURISM: • There are a couple of holiday photo op stations set up for the public to enjoy through the holiday season. They are located at the corner of West and Pine Grove Avenues and in the plaza at the end of Center Street between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and SRP Park. These interactive displays are lit every night starting at approximately 5:30pm. • The Explore North Augusta Scavenger Hunt is underway and clues can be found daily on the Explore North Augusta website (www.explorenorthaugusta.com) or on Explore North Augusta social media outlets. • Some other notable upcoming events for the holiday season include: o Now through Thursday, December 12: 12 Days of Christmas Contest at Downtown North Augusta businesses o Saturday, December 14: SRP Park will host Auggie’s Holiday Buzzar at SRP Park. The event is free to attend and will feature a visit from Santa, concessions, vendors, and a Toys for Tots drop-off center. o Thursday, December 19: North Augusta Third Thursday o Thursday, December 19: The Arts & Heritage Center will be open until 8:00pm and will provide an opportunity to pick up that last-minute gift from the Gift Shop.
