Over the past 25 years, Emory has worked in the public sector at the county and
municipal levels. With a background and experience in parks and recreation,
community and economic development, and planning, she has worked and
developed a variety of initiatives in small rural communities to larger metropolitan
areas. She is currently the Planning, Community and Economic Development
Administrator for Lower Savannah Council of Governments. Emory serves on the
board of the South Carolina Community Development Association and the South
Carolina Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee. She is a native of Aiken, South
Carolina and holds a B.A. in Public Affairs from Columbia College.
