RES 2020-33 Adopted 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 2020-33 A RESOLUTION COMMITTING THE CITY OF NORTH AUGUSTA TO PROVIDE A LOCAL MATCH FOR A MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HOMETOWN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT AND FOLLOWING ITS PROCUREMENT POLICY WHEN SECURING SERVICES AND PRODUCTS WITH GRANTFUNDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of North Augusta, South Carolina in meeting duly assembled on this 17' day of August 2020, that the City Council hereby commits to provide a local cash\in kind match of at least $3,750, which equals the minimum 15% local match required by the Municipal Association of South Carolina, to support the City of North Augusta application for a $25,000 Hometown Economic Development Grant. These grant and local matching funds will be used for a comprehensive master plan for the Department of Parks, Recreation, &Tourism. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council will follow the City of North Augusta's procurement policy adopted in accordance with SC Code of Laws Section 11-35-50 when securing all services and products purchased with funds awarded from a Hometown Economic Development Grant. This resolution is made in regard to the submission of an application for Hometown Economic Development Grant funds to the Municipal Association of South Carolina on or before September 25,2020. 1. The Parks, Recreation,and Tourism Department is authorized to apply for a$25,000 South Carolina Hometown Economic Development Grant to be used by the City for funding of a comprehensive master plan to include a new regional park. 2. The City Administrator is authorized to execute any documents necessary to apply for said grant. 3. The City commits to a local cash match of$3,750 in the event that the City is awarded the grant. 4. The funding for the $3,750 cash match will come from the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism budget.
